How to upload files to your ESN server (file manager and SFTP)
Upload any file type to your ESN Hosting server with the panel file manager (up to 1 GB per file), extract zip, rar or 7z archives, or connect with SFTP for big uploads.
There are two ways to get files onto your server: the panel's file manager in your browser, or SFTP with an app like FileZilla or WinSCP.
Using the file manager
- Open your server and go to Files.
- Choose Upload, or drag files straight onto the page.
- To make folders or new files, use Create Directory or New File.
- Any file type is allowed:
.py,.js,.jar,.zip, worlds, configs and anything else. - Up to 1 GB per file in the browser. Use SFTP for anything bigger.
- Select files with the checkboxes to move, delete, or Archive them into one compressed file you can download.
Extracting archives
Uploading one archive is faster than hundreds of small files. After it uploads, open the file's menu (the three dots) and choose Unarchive. The panel extracts .zip, .rar, .7z, .tar, .tar.gz/.tgz, .tar.xz, .tar.bz2, .tar.zst, .gz, .xz, .bz2 and .zst.
Using SFTP
- Open your server's Settings page and find SFTP Details. It shows the Server Address (for example
sftp://node2.esnoffical.com:2022) and your Username. - In your SFTP app, enter the host and port 2022, that username, and your panel password.
- Connect. You'll land in your server's top folder.
The SFTP password is the same as your panel password. If you don't know your panel password (for example, you always sign in with Discord), use Forgot password on the sign-in page to set one.
Still stuck? Use the live chat on the panel or ask in the ESN Hosting Discord. Last updated October 27, 2026.
